Sunrise Cinemas
Since it's birth in 1975 and originally known as Dreier Theatres until
1999, Sunrise Cinemas, with 58 screens, has grown to be the largest
screen holder in Broward County and is the leading presenter of
independent, foreign, fine art and first-run movies. Reaching into Boca
Raton with the Mizner Park 8 Cinemas, as far South as North Miami Beach
with the Intracoastal Mall 8 Cinemas, Sunrise Cinemas has grown in the
past few years from three to seven convenient locations. Unique among
local movie venues, Sunrise Cinemas plays host to all key locally
produced film festivals, including The Palm Beach International Film
Festival and The Miami International Film Festival.
Locally owned and operated, Sunrise Cinemas is committed to providing
the opportunity for Floridians and their guests to experience quality
features from Hollywood and across the world. Sunrise Cinemas locations
are handicapped accessible complexes with free parking, state-of-the-art
projection and digital sound, and offer hearing impaired listening
devices.
Our seven locations are Gateway 4 Cinemas on East Sunrise
Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Plantation CrossRoads Cinema in
Plantation, Sunrise Eleven Cinemas in Sunrise, Deerfield Mall 8 Cinemas
in Deerfield Beach, Las Olas Riverfront 15 Cinemas in downtown Fort
Lauderdale, Mizner Park 8 Cinemas in Boca Raton and Intracoastal Mall 8
Cinemas in North Miami Beach. The Las Olas operation includes the
popular Cinema Bar where customers can purchase a glass of wine or beer
to enjoy while watching their movies.
